“Who wants to talk about a taboo subject?”

1 h 30 minCoffs Harbour Library

Event Description

If you would appreciate the freedom to explore a forbidden topic, perhaps it’s time you attended a Death Café. At a Death Cafe, people gather to eat cake, drink tea/coffee and discuss death. This event is free, open to all and a safe space to share all things related to death. Engage in the conversations taking place or simply listen to the musings of others. There is no speaker, no agenda, no selling of anything. The concept is plain and simple: a place for people to express their ideas and/or share their experiences about death without ridicule or judgment. From an article on "The Death Network": “One of the most beautiful things about a Death Cafe is its inclusivity. People from all walks of life attend, bringing with them different perspectives, experiences, and questions about mortality. Whether you’ve lost a loved one, are facing a terminal illness, or are simply curious about what it means to live knowing that death is inevitable, you’ll find a welcoming space where your thoughts and feelings are honoured.” - Join us! When: Sunday 14th September 2025 Location: Harry Bailey Memorial Library Yarrila Place, 27 Gordon St, Coffs Harbour NSW 2450 Time - 10.30am -12:00pm Hosted by Lauren Clarke from Big Questions Little Hearts.
